Description

This is a 12 week class designed to teach you how to successfully complete the GAPS Diet. You’ll learn what GAPS is, how it can affect both your body and your mind, how to prepare the food required on the diet, how to adjust the diet to your body’s unique requirements, and how to properly supplement the diet.

Healthy gut flora protects us from pathogens, nourishes the gut, produces vitamins, allows proper absorption of nutrients, and supports immunity. Unhealthy gut flora damages the gut lining and allows pathogens, microbes, and toxins into the bloodstream. It also allows in partially digested foods leading to allergies, food sensitivities, and autoimmune reactions. These toxins reach every part of the body, including the brain causing both physical (Crohn’s, colitis, IBS, autoimmunity) and emotional ( Autism, ADHD, PDD, depression) symptoms.

Each class will include a lecture, cooking demonstration, group Q&A, private Q&A, and GAPS resources.  Lecture topics include GAPS Nutritional Protocol, the intro diet, the full GAPS diet, coming off the GAPS diet, supplements, detoxification, and GAPS pregnancy.

Classes will be taught by GAPS Instructor, Peter Wright, BS, NTP, CGP (Certified GAPS Practitioner).

Classes will meet one day per week in the evenings.  Classes are available both on-line and at the Cushing Meeting Room, right next to our office on the 1st floor of the UNION SQUARE MALL at 64-66 East Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME.  Check our calendar for the next available class or contact me to set-up a private class for you and your friends.
